Sophia and the others returned from their desert exploration and told Chloe and Steph all about it. While doing so, they also learned that the duo had been quite active during their absence. This got Maya's competitive spirit lift and got Sophia to agree to do something extra horny to take bake the crown of being the biggest pervert, as it was rather important to her.

  “Fenfen!” A couple of days since the desert adventure had passed, and Chloe was currently standing in front of the male wolf, who had gotten comfortable in his favorite rug in the living room.

  “How can I be of help?” He lazily lifted his head to look at her.

  “I just came back from the fox village!” She energetically clapped her hands. “The log cabin is done for our cozy area is done!”

  “Ohh!” That was enough to make Fen stand up. “I can’t wait to take a nap in there!” He only got up to lie down in the future again.

  “Hehe!”

  “Oh, now that I think about it, have we ever gone back there after we tried to create the northern lights sky?”

  “HUH?!” The fox raised her voice. “I totally forgot about that! I’ve poured some more of my magic into the area through the portal, but I never actually went to take a look!”

  “So, we don’t even know if it worked, huh?”

  “Let’s go check immediately!” She got even more excited.

  “Okay.” Fen nodded once, and the two took the portal to their cozy winter retreat to see what was going on there.

  “WOAH!” Arriving there, Chloe immediately got loud. Just like they left it, the area was filled with countless needle-leaf trees, and everything was covered in a healthy layer of pure-white snow. The ambiance beside that had changed entirely, though. It had become night, and the entire sky had turned black only with a few bright spots doubling as stars sparkling here and there. The most stunning thing was the glow in the sky, though. Shimmering lines of greenish-blue lights illuminated the entire area around them. Here and there, it also changed to a more purple hue as the lines of light swirled around in the sky.

  “Wow!” Even Fen was amazed by the spectacle above them. “It could be a little more vibrant and brighter, but it’s still very nice nonetheless. I’m impressed that it worked at all!”

  “That is true, slightly more would be amazing! Even more amazing, I mean!” The fox-girl nodded in agreement. “Maybe that’s all we could make with the raw magic we provided?” She then tilted her head.

  “That could be it.” Fen thought so, too. “We should try feeding it more magic.”

  “Absolutely!” She liked the plan a lot. “For now, let’s start with getting the log cabin in here, though.”

  “Do you already have a plan for that?” The wolf looked around while saying so. “Good luck getting Sophia here for a portal with all the snow around.”

  “I was rather concerned about that before coming here, too.” Chloe scratched her cheek before pointing up. “There’s no way she doesn’t want to see those lights!”

  “You’re probably right about that.”

  Having decided on a course of action, Chloe briefly returned to the cottage to pick up their favorite blonde.

  “Sophia!”

  “Yes?” The tiger in question tilted her head when she saw the giddy-looking fox approaching her in the hallway. “How can I be of help?”

  “It’s cute how you have the same reaction as Fenfen had earlier!”

  “Did you come here just to tease me?” She only got more confused.

  “I would never!” Chloe vigorously shook her head. “We need your help! The log cabin Fenfen and I ordered for our holiday retreat is ready, and we need you and your portals to get it there from the fox village.”

  “Yeah, you should’ve thought about that before filling the place with snow.” Sophia just stared at her. “Sorry, no happening.” She had zero intent of going there.

  “Not even if we managed to improve your domain beyond imagination, and you need to see it because it’s just that unbelievable?”

  “Hmm?” Hearing that, she raised an eyebrow.

  “You need to come with me to see it, though.”

  "…" Sophia wasn't entirely convinced yet.

  “Even Fenfen was overwhelmed by just how much of an impressive feat we pulled off, you know?”

  “Fine.” Curiosity got the better of the cat. “But, just so you know, if this is a hoax, I’ll do the same to your forest that Ari did to Aura’s. There will be a second hellfire in the domain.”

  “Heat aside, I actually like that place.” Chloe shrugged. “It looks amazing from afar. Still, that won’t happen to our place~.”

  “I like the confidence.” Sophia had nothing else to say.

  “Let’s go!” The fox grabbed her hand and dragged her to the portal.

  “Brr! So col- WOAH!” Naturally, Sophia first reacted to the cold, but it immediately became of secondary concern once she took a look at her surroundings. “ARE THOSE NORTHERN LIGHTS?!” Her eyes were glued to the sky.

  “It’s pretty neat, isn’t it?” Fen joined them.

  “HOW?!” She got even louder. “Also, why is it nighttime here?!”

  “Those are excellent questions!” Chloe nodded a few times. "The answer to all of them is magic!"

  “The answer to everything inside my domain is magic!” She stared at the fox. “That doesn’t answer my question, though!”

  “Haha.” Chloe let out a small chuckle. “I don’t really have a precise explanation for it. It happened without us realizing. In fact, we kinda forgot about it and got surprised earlier, as well.”

  “The heck?” It only confused her more.

  “We wanted to make it night around her because it’s more cozy. Our idea was to paint the area above us black while leaving a few tiny holes where the default white shines through to imitate stars." She tried to explain their train of thought. “Afterward, Fenfen had the brilliant idea of adding northern lights to the sky because they’re beautiful and were a perfect fit for our theme! So, we thought about the black sky and northern lights really hard while depleting our internal magic, as well as using up the environmental bits.”

  “That’s all?!” Sophia felt the explanation to be a little lacking.

  “Well, we tried asking Blu for help to see if our favorite bird has some ideas, but I'm not sure if that did anything for us."

  “Blu was with you?” The blonde raised an eyebrow.

  “Yes.” Fen nodded. “At least until Chloe scared it away.”

  “Hey!” The fox didn’t like his wording.

  “You scared Blu away…?” Sophia had a hard time believing it.

  “I got a little too excited.” She looked a little awkward. “I really wanted the northern lights to happen and pestered out parakeet with questions and kept telling it just how amazing it would be if we could use all the magic available to make it happen. It seemed like my behavior was a bit much for Blu because it suddenly flew away and disappeared when I was at my most excited.”

  “Hah.” The blonde paused for a moment. “I see.” She had a feeling that this was not exactly what really happened. “That cheeky little bird.” The tiger started smiling while thinking about the playful parakeet who loved to help out. “Anyway, I hate the snow, but it looks amazing around here!” She got back to the topic.

  “I know, right?!” Chloe energetically nodded.

  “Though, I quite dislike how I’m falling behind in my own domain.” Sophia scratched her cheek. “I need to find a way to get more power so that I can really go all out!”

  “Oh, about that!” Hearing the word power, the fox-girl clapped her hands. “While working on our polar biome, Steph and I found out that our magic power almost doubled since we started playing around in your domain. Blu confirmed it, too.”

  “Really?” Fen tilted his head while staring at her. “It’s true, now that you mention it, you do feel stronger, but almost twice? We're all at a level where measuring the exact amount is hard, but the gap between us is still relatively similar to before.”

  “That’s because you became more powerful, too!” Chloe smiled at him. “That’s why we didn't notice before, as all of us are growing! After all, you’ve also been playing with us a lot and created a ton of things with magic! It seems like constantly using our magic inside this domain makes our power grow really fast!”

  “Seriously?!” He got loud. “Wait, but we all did notice that Sophia grew a lot. Still is, by the way.” The wolf took a quick glance at the blonde.

  “According to Blu, or from what Steph and I interpreted from its usual playful dancing, it’s because Sophia was the first to grow before we started using more magic in her domain, so we noticed her drastic change. Also, it's her domain, so it would make sense that she grows more than the rest of us do.”

  “Okay, that sounds logical, but don’t you think I would’ve noticed if my magic doubled? Even 50% should be extremely obvious.”

  "Would it, though?" Chloe tilted her head. "Normal everyday magic uses so little that we don't even notice our authority dropping. Large-scale things like flooding a biome with our internal magic empties our authority so fast that you don’t really notice if it took one minute or two.”

  “Wow.” He wasn’t sure what else to say. “I can’t believe it.”

  “Same!” The fox-girl couldn’t blame him. “It’s true, though.”

  “Wait, so my domain boosts everyone’s magic?” Sophia also tried to make sense of it.

  “Well, I’m just guessing, but it seems like it accelerates the growth?" Chloe scratched her cheek. "Maybe you should talk about it with Mira instead. She should know better."

  “That’s a good idea!” The blonde nodded. “Alright, I’ll do that once we’re done here! Also, let’s hurry up because I’m freezing!”

  “It’s not that cold!”

  “Nah, she has a point there.” Fen sided with the tiger. "Let's go get the log cabin so I never have to be out here in the snow again!"

  Afterward, Sophia created a massive portal in the area where the duo wanted the cabin to be, and the three went to the fox village to collect it. Naturally, things got a little rowdy when the builders saw their construction disappear in a flurry of pink and purple sparkles, but that was a different topic.
