Chapter 71: I Want to Go Too!

  "Hmm…"

Fujiwara furrowed her brows, lost in thought.

Something about this still didn't sit right with her.

"Kaguya, I feel like there's another reason you transferred schools."

"You say it was to avoid the President because he was a hassle…"

  "And I get that."

"But that other reason you mentioned… Hmm~ I don't quite uand it."

"Still, I feel like whatever you're hiding is ected to that reason I don't uand."

  Kaguya fell silent.

This woman's intuition was too sharp.

Even when she deliberately hid something, Fujiwara could still sehat something was off.

"Miss Kaguya, it seems you won't be able to keep it from her."

Hayasaka's voice was ced with amusement.

  "Hayasaka…"

"You 't keep dodging this forever."

Kaguya frowned in frustration but had to admit Hayasaka had a point.

"If Miss Fujiwara decides to iigate, she'll find out eventually."

"After all, Sanzenin and Saginomiya transferred schools at the same time as you."

"No matter how much you try to hide it, that's something you 't cover up."

  Kaguya let out a sigh.

  She was right.

Her reasoning for transferring was flimsy at best.

But what about Sanzenin Nagi and Saginomiya Isumi?

There was no way to expiransfers away so easily.

"Yeah… it's impossible to keep it hidden pletely."

  "Exactly."

"Rather than waste energy trying to hide things from Miss Fujiwara, why not just tell her the truth, like Miss Sanzenin did?"

  Hayasaka's suggestion made Kaguya hesitate.

But after a moment of deliberation, she relented.

If Fujiwara decided to dig into this, she'd eventually start asking questions about Amamiya.

And knowing how uable she was, she'd probably ght to him for answers.

  "Ah…"

  Kaguya sighed again.

She had wao keep this a secret.

But in the end, it was impossible.

"Alright, Fujiwara. I'll show you something."

"This isn't something we discuss here. e with me."

  "Oh?"

Fujiwara's curiosity burned even stronger as she eagerly followed Kaguya.

Kaguya led her to the mansion's indoor swimming pool.

She didn't say a word as she walked forward.

  "Kaguya …?"

  Fujiwara tilted her head, fused.

  "Miss Fujiwara, just watch."

Kaguya took aep forward, onto the water's surface.

But instead of sinking, the water beh her began to freeze solid.

  "!?"

  Fujiwara's eyes went wide.

  "Magic!?"

She ran forward, pg her hand on the unfrozen part of the water.

  It felt normal.

The temperature wasn't particurly low, and nothing seemed unnatural about it.

  But wheurned back—

The water beh Kaguya's feet had pletely frozen over.

  This wasn't a trick.

It wasn't stage magic or an illusion.

It was as if the water had been exposed to extreme cold in an instant.

  "Fujiwara, raise your hand."

Fujiwara did as she was told, lifting her hand out of the water.

  "Zizizi!"

A chilling aura burst forth, spreading from Kaguya and engulfing the entire swimming pool.

In mere seds, the entire pool had frozen solid.

  Fujiwara stood there, pletely stunned.

  "T-This… this is…"

  This wasn't a magic trick.

There was no way magic could produething this real.

The biting cold sent shivers down her spine.

As she looked at Kaguya standing atop the ice, she finally uood.

  "This is… a superpower!?"

Rather than fear, excitement filled Fujiwara's voice.

Her rea was pletely different from what a normal person would have.

  "Hey~"

Stepping onto the ice, Fujiwara carefully tested her footing.

The ice was thick, solid enough to support her weight without issue.

She had just touched the liquid water a few seds ago…

A, now it had turned into a frozen surface strong enough to walk on.

  "This is amazing~"

  Fujiwara's eyes sparkled with fasation.

"Kaguya's superpower freeze aire swimming pool in seds!"

Then, she turned back toward Kaguya.

"So… is this the real reason you transferred to Teitan High School?"

She tapped her , thinking hard.

"Hmm… Kaguya never had a power like this before."

"And it's weird that Sanzenin suddenly started helping her."

"But if Sanzenin and Kaguya are ected by this, then it makes sense."

Fujiwara's mind worked quickly, pieg together the clues.

  Sanzenin Nagi…

  Saginomiya Isumi…

  And now Kaguya had superpowers.

All of them transferred schools at the same time.

  That couldn't be a ce.

"If Kaguya's transfer is reted to the sudden appearance of her superpowers…"

"…then that means the school itself is ected to this."

  "Or rather—"

Fujiwara's eyes lit up with realization.

"There's someo Teitan High School who's responsible for this, isn't there!?"

  "Probably a single person!"

"And… that person is most likely a boy!"

  Kaguya and Hayasaka exged gnces.

They hadn't expected Fujiwara to figure it out so quickly.

Fujiwara caught Kaguya's expression and grinned knowingly.

  "I got it right, didn't I?"

This must have been another reason Kaguya rejected the President.

Well… the President was really pitiful.

But if someone could grant Kaguya superpowers, then…

  Shirogane Miyuki ood a ce.

  "Oh well~"

Fujiwara quickly moved on from feeling bad for the President.

There was something far more iing right now.

  "Kaguya, I want to traoo!"

  Kaguya blinked.

  "…What?"

Fujiwara crossed her arms and nodded fidently.

"I wanna go to Teitan High School too!"

"On one hand, it's for my friend—"

"But oher… I'm way too curious to just let this go!"

  Kaguya sighed.

"Fujiwara, this is your own decision."

"But there are some things I o expin to you first."

  Fujiwara nodded eagerly.

  Kaguya didn't hold back.

She began expining the details about the diary.

  Fujiwara listened ily.

  "Ohhhhh~"

  Her eyes sparkled even more.

"So even normal people… as long as they get that diary… they awaken superpowers too!?"

  "This is so cool!"

Fujiwara had made up her mind.

  She was defiransferring.

There was no way she was missing out on something this exg!
