Chapter 78: The Travel Notes of Han You (7)

Chapter 78: The Wandering Record of Han (7)

Qin Ke was still in a daze and hadn't reacted yet when I pulled her out of the disco hall, Jin Yina and her boyfriend also followed us out.

"Kang Jian! ? What's wrong?" Jin Yina caught up from behind and shouted at me.

"Nothing... I'm just a bit tired, haven't been resting well these past few days... you guys keep playing, Kaiyi and I will head back first." I forced out a smile as I said to the two of them.

"Kang Jian... that kid is like that, when he drinks too much, he gets confused..." Jin Yina's boyfriend said to me.

"No matter how much I drink, I still can't forget what my parents are called..." I said with some excitement.

"To be honest, I also dislike him! If it wasn't for the friend who was with him calling me today, I wouldn't have gone. Today's trip was ruined by a stinky fish and I really didn't enjoy myself. Let's drink properly when we go to Jeju Island the day after tomorrow."

"Alright, I'll take these two days to adjust my state of mind. When we go to Jeju Island, let's get drunk together."

"Alright! I'll drive you guys then!" said Jinyi's boyfriend.

"It's okay, you guys continue playing, we'll just take a taxi back..."

After saying goodbye to Jinna and her boyfriend, I and Qin Ke Yi hailed a taxi back to the hotel. In the car, Qin Ke Yi finally asked me out of curiosity what had happened earlier. So, I put aside my personal feelings and national grievances, and from an objective perspective, told Qin Ke Yi about the ugly face that I had only seen on TV before. After listening to my account, Qin Ke Yi also expressed her indignation, making me feel relieved that my patriotic education for her was not in vain.

"Kang Jian... I think I'll go to Shunying's house tonight..." Qin Ke suddenly said to me when we were almost at the hotel.

  "Alright!"

"Are you not used to sleeping there......" Qin Ke asked with a smile.

"It's fine... I'm just not used to sleeping on the floor."

"If you're not used to staying up late, then don't bother accompanying me, I can go by myself."

"It's fine, mainly it's just that when facing insomnia, I'm a bit at a loss..."

"Hehe...... I am too...... Tomorrow night, can I give you a good hug?" Qin Ke whispered in my ear with a smile, making me feel that her behavior was really unnecessary. In this environment where Korean is absolutely dominant, even if you stand on the rooftop and shout out loud, people will only think you're crazy except for some normal physiological reactions. But after hearing these words, apart from normal physiological reactions, feelings of happiness and sweetness still emerged from the bottom of my heart.

"Is it possible that something else happened?" I asked Qin Ke with a smile.

"Oh dear?... This... is hard to say, it depends on my mood... But you'd better not have any illusions, the possibility is very low..." Qin Ke thought for a moment, smiling as he said this, just as the car stopped in front of the hotel entrance.

"Alright, I won't bother you anymore. You go ahead and rest. These past two days, I've seen that you haven't been sleeping well... Go take a good bath and get some comfortable sleep. That way, you'll have the energy to play with me."

"Then... don't you need me to accompany you?"

"It's okay... I've been here for so long, can't lose it! Go ahead!"

"After arriving, call the hotel room...". Qin Ke smiled and nodded deeply at me, then I turned around, opened the door, got out of the car, and walked towards the hotel.

"Wait!" Qin Ke shouted as I was about to enter the hotel, so I turned around and looked at her with a questioning gaze.

"Come over here for a second." Qin Ke stuck her head out of the car window and said to me. Given her usual behavior, at this moment I had a premonition that she would definitely make some move, but based on my current understanding of her, I couldn't quite figure out what she wanted to do, so I could only walk over with a stiff upper lip, leaning down to look at her suspiciously.

"It's nothing... just remember me!" Qin Ke suddenly stuck her head out and kissed my face, then said to me in a seductive tone...

When I was standing in the hotel lobby waiting for the elevator, a hotel staff member walked over and said something to me in not-so-fluent English. After suffering through six years of middle school and two years of college English education that felt like a nightmare, I never thought that my first real-life conversation with someone in English would come so unexpectedly, nor did I expect that the main characters in this scenario would be two Asians from non-English speaking countries.

Due to the other party's poor oral English and my equally poor listening skills, our conversation was not going smoothly. When facing this idiot who kept talking nonsense in front of me, I could only repeat "ardon?" again and again.

"What he means is that I've been waiting for you." Just then, a pleasant Chinese voice came from behind me. I subconsciously turned around and found a woman wearing professional attire, glasses, and with a lot of charm, smiling at me as if we were familiar.

"Are you Kang Jian?" Seeing the questioning look in my eyes, she asked me, making the doubts that shot out of my eyes even more intense.

  "Really... who are you?"

"My surname is Li... My name is Li Jia... Our chairman wants to see you." She said with a smile.

"Your chairman? Who is it? I don't seem to know anyone in Korea?"

"Our chairman is also Chinese. You must have heard of him, you'll know when you go. I'm just giving you a heads up here. Let's go, the car is waiting for us outside." Although she said each sentence with a smile, the commanding tone in her words made me feel resistant, and I followed her out of the room and into the car with full of doubts.

"Were you just with your girlfriend?" She suddenly asked me with a smile after the car started.

"Really, how did you know?" She didn't respond to my words, but instead pulled out a tissue from her bag and handed it to me. I took the tissue in confusion, not understanding the meaning behind her actions. At that moment, she smiled and pointed to her own face with her hand. Suddenly, I realized that the spot she was pointing at was where Qin Ke had kissed earlier, and I understood that there must still be lipstick on my face - something I had once envied and resented. So I quickly wiped my face with the tissue, while she smiled and adjusted her glasses to help me cover up the awkwardness. For the rest of the time, no one spoke, and all I could do was try to figure out who it might be that wanted to see me.

The car stopped quickly in front of a luxurious hotel, and under Li Jia's lead, I followed her to a private room on the second floor. She pushed open the door and led me in, where a large table of dishes caught my eye. Two people were sitting at the two seats facing the door: one was around 50 years old, and the other was relatively younger, probably over 30. Faced with this scene, I could only stand there with a puzzled expression, looking at Li Jia.

"Are you Kang Jian?" A slightly older person suddenly asked me with a smile, and I silently wondered in my heart why I had such fame that someone even knew my name all the way in Korea, then nodded.

"You two go out first. I want to be alone with him for a while." He said this to Li Jia and the people beside him after asking me questions and getting my affirmative answer, his tone was gentle but full of majesty. The two people silently walked out of the room and closed the door, leaving me still in doubt.

"Hey kid, come! Sit next to me." He said enthusiastically to me, so I walked over and sat down in the position on his right hand side.

"You're quite the handsome young man, haha, no wonder Kai Yuen likes you." He said with a smile after quietly staring at me for half a day.

"Do you also know Kei?" Unexpectedly, this trip to Korea turned into a journey of doubts. The things that happened in just a few short days are hard for me to understand with my current level of intelligence, so I can only ask one question after another.

"Is your surname Qin?" In response to my question, he didn't give a direct answer, but this answer was enough to dispel all my doubts.

"Are you... really... Dad?" I asked hesitantly.

"Yes." He smiled and nodded, picking up his wine glass from the table and taking a sip.

"Uncle...hello!" My originally calm state of mind suddenly became tense due to his one sentence. I had imagined the scene of meeting Qin Ke's family several times, but it was just a fleeting thought in my mind, because in my eyes, this was still an unattainable thing, at least not for a long time. I didn't expect it to come so suddenly and quickly, making me flustered and at a loss.
