Chapter 84: The Cafeteria
I was in a daze, and even I felt numb looking at the scene before me. It wasn't until Mio came to our classroom and dragged me away to eat that I snapped out of it.
The cafeteria was surprisingly nice, with good food and warm service. But what caught my attention was the Indian chef, who seemed to be in a state of ecstasy as he served us his dish.
As we ate, I asked him why there were so few people in the cafeteria. He looked down, embarrassed, and told us that it was because today was Tuesday - the day when the "Hana Danshi" department opened its doors to welcome guests from other schools.
My chopsticks almost fell out of my hands as I heard this. Hana Danshi? That sounded like a nightmare come true. And what's more, they had branches all over the world?
I quickly finished my meal and excused myself, telling Mio that I needed to take a nap. As I left the cafeteria, I noticed that those kids who had smashed our pumpkins earlier were still lurking around, waiting for me.
I flew over the walls, looking down at the kids hiding in the bushes or behind trees, clutching their tomatoes (I guess they had run out of pumpkins). When I landed on another wall, the kids below stared up at me in shock.
I waved at them and said, "Sorry, I'm in a hurry to take a nap. Bye!" before jumping off again.
The scene cut back to the kids, who were still staring blankly into space, trying to process what had just happened.
Meanwhile, I returned to my dormitory and found Rengoku sitting on my bed, sniffing a rose. What was he doing here? And how did he get in?
I tried to play it cool, but inside, I was freaking out. Didn't he know that I had already cut ties with the Hana Danshi department? And didn't he know that Katsuragi had taken my ring away?
"Hey," Rengoku said, smiling at me.
But before he could even finish his sentence, I grabbed him and threw him out the window. I heard a loud thud as he hit the ground below.
I breathed a sigh of relief and closed the window, but to my surprise, Rengoku popped back up like a cockroach, climbing into the room through the window.
I glared at him, furious. "What are you doing here?"
