Chapter 21 – Classes

Looking at each other, we eventually pile out of the room ao the receptionist desk and upon seeing the familiar figure she calls out to us. "Hey, well done passing the tests now first I'll do an expnation and orientation then we'll go over each of you individually okay?"

After nodding she tinues in that vibrant tone of hers "To begin with, the hunters guild ranks work from E to S rank where E is the lowest and S the highest. Each of you will begin at E rank and to go from E rank to D rank you must either fulfil ten E rank quests or five D rank quests as you only take quests higher than your rank by one." After taking a quick breath she tinues "Rank d upwards, on top of pleting quests you must take examinations just like before in order to prove that you deserve those ranks. On top of this, there are training grounds, csses for knowledge and the quest board which be used to ask for teammates to work with as well."

Once giving us time to process that word vomit, she then started to call us up individually by taking us into the room just behind her where the individual is seen ing out wearing a small c on their neck. After roughly half an hour, Lumina hears her name being called thus she stood up aered the room with anticipation.

Wheering the room, she sees the receptionist standing beside a brass looking traption. "e here, now I'll guide you through the process, you will o make a small cut on your finger and pce it here on this mae which will use your blood to create ay tag and ay card which will not be replicable and thus requires payment if it ever gets lost and needs rept."

Ohat was said, Lumina grabbed the dagger and made a small cut at the top of her forefinger before pressing it down oop of the brass mae.

  WHIRRR

The mae started to make some noise as it glowed various colours before settling down from its vibrations where her tag and card were finally processed. Pig them up, she feels them only to realise that they didn't feel anything special whilst looking at the card which had her basiformation pced down.

"Now that's that, lets begin with some extra information for you. After looking at your scores oheory test we realise that you are rather unknowledgeable and require to take csses in Fing, Pnt types, Monster Ecology, Trap Making and Normal Beast Ecology. Now, the basic csses for these are free except for monster ecology and normal beast ecology and require a payment of twenty coppers ead after that there are the advanced csses for all of these and they all have a payment requirement of e copper each." The receptionist talked in a rather business style tone as if a script was in front of her.

Lumina blinks at the information thrown at her then answers carefully. "I will take the free csses for now and when I start gaining a reasonable ihen I will pay for the other csses will that be okay?"

"Yes that's perfectly fine, now that everything is settled you head bad do whatever you o do."

Ohat versation was over, Lumihe room and headed back to the inn as it was starting to bee dusk after everything that happehat day. On the way back, Lumina thought about her teammates. I believe that I bee friends with Sheryl and Dave easily but Sharron will be one of those harder to unicate with uhere is something that will i her. As for Ternan... Lets hope he doesn't bring any unnecessary trouble after today.

As Lumina nearly reached the inn, the spider that she left behind with An mao pick up a versation that he was having with that mysterious person which caused her to furrow her brows.

  An POV

"Report." After anding thin air An saw the empty room shimmer as a covered person appeared from thin air going into a saluting position and started his report in ear.

"Sir, after following that Lumina person a couple of days I gathered information that before she became a 'she' she was actually a 'he' from one of my subordihat was in the women's clothing store. Meanwhile, most of hat she said was true in that she was just an apprentiife wielder and is in general rather unknowledgeable. She worked well with most of her teammates and is rather friendly, However, I feel that we have not seeirety of her capabilities. Should we put her in a situation that forces her to go all out?"

After taking a few moments to think An responds with a question. "What do you feel she is hiding?"

"Sir, I believe that she could be a remnant follower of Death and thus has some of those 'forbidden' csses either in curses, neac." Answering in a monotohe shadowy person only had a bit of aed quiver when he mentioned neancy.

"Hmm, if she isn't revealing her abilities then it means she doesn't feel strong enough yet, not to mention some of these knights underh me will not hesitate to attack her if she is sidered weak. No, we'll wait until she is strong enough, then we use her to take down those whiving us unnecessary headaches and brio our side."

"What if she feels entitled to have better treatment and bee the ruler of this city, wont that put her against your steady rule?" The shadow asked with some level of curiosity within his monotone voice.

"If that bees the case I will wele it after all I'm a knight ander not a ruler but for that to happen she will o learn how to rule and she only learn that once she leaves this forsaken nd and bee a noble in one of the other empires. Besides she has a right to rule here as she could be reted to death on this nd." On came to this clusio down and briefly looked into the spiders dire before turning his head bad said "You may leave now."

  "Yes sir."
