Walking back to the crossroads, Lumina turned left and headed to what was the inner ring which was said to be the main headquarters to some of the rgest guilds there. The further towards the inner ring she went in, the more armour cd people there were revealing that she was in the right pce. Once she reached the inner ring, she turned her heel to the left aually came across a rge brick building that appeared retively new in parison to the architecture around making it look new.
The sign above read that it was The Hunter's Guild in cursive, bold lettering on a wooden sign where it looked like groups of people of differing races, mostly human walked in and out through the dathering her ce, Lumina pushed open the door and waltzed into the guildhalls open area.
Inside was a warm tavern-like atmosphere where some of the rugged men and women in armour carrying ons were sitting down while ughing, having a drink and a meal being rather boisterous while dies wearing cute looking uniforms were taking orders and carrying trays. In one of the ers there seemed to be a board with pages and tents littered them where some of these people were standing.
Looking around, Lumiually saw the reception front desk where a few young dies were standing pstered with professional service smiles on their faces while dealing with a small line of hunters. Lining up, Lumina waited for a couple of minutes before it became her turing face to face with a receptionist with short, pink curly hair and red eyes. "Hey, I waister into the hunters guild, would you mind helping me?" Lumina asked in a polite tone.
"Sure, just so you know you o fill in a short form and plete a few test trials before you get handed a verification card so others know that you are a part of this guild and what rank you are. I expin more on this subjece you bee a hunter and just so you are aware you will o pay a small sum of five coppers upfront to take the tests no matter whether you succeed them or not. Shall I get the form now or would you like a moment to think about it?" The receptionist said in aohe smile never leaving her face.
"No need, here's the payment I have the form please?"
"Sure thing." After a couple of moments to receptionist grabbed what looked to be the form from uhe desk and ha over to Lumina to fill out and waited patiently. Carefully looking into the form, Lumina checked and filled out its tents such as name, age, occupation, occupation level etc.
After doing so, Lumina hands the sheet back to the receptionist who looked over the notes, hen said "Good, looks like everything checks out. Now the first test is a writtehat will test your current knowledge, don't worry this test has no impact other thaing us know what kind of csses you may o shore up in any defit knowledge in, this should only take thirty minutes." Once saying this she got Lumina to follow her to a room that had desks, quills, ink and paper and approximately a hundred people sitting iaking the test.
When she found ay seat, Lumina saw that a nky figure was standing by the main wall, his presence almost unnoticeable. A muffled voice was heard through the mask he wore "You may begin." Once saying that, Lumina grabbed the quill, started reading the questions and started filling them in as best as she could despite being unknowledgeable.
A short thirty minutes went by before the masked figure shouts out loud "Times up!!" Making everyo there quills down as they get collected by some of his assistants. "Now that's done we get to the physical test, all of you will pete against a k hunter and those who past move onto the final examination while those who fail will have tain aime." Once he said this he led everyone oo what looked to be a rge training ground with a rge muscur man ripped and toh several scars on their body carrying what looked to be a two handed broadsword.
"Wele, for the sed test all you o do is be able to keep standing after my attacks for a few minutes." The man bellowed loudly, his words eg within the room.
Taking a rge portion of the day, nearly all of the challenges went up, most of them failing but some passing with retively det capability such as a male elf with a bow, a human female mage, a human with a sword and a beastkin woman with what looked to be a and sickle with everyone else failing leading up to Lumina being the final fight.
"Ready?" Nodding her head to the question, the examiner got ready into a sshing stance whilst Lumina grabbed her k of the sheath and crouched low into a poung position. "Set......Go!" Yelling that out the man ran up to Lumina before sshing the sword from top to bottom by her head.
Lumina seeing this, sidestepped to the left a into a pouh the kargeting the neck as a thrust.
G
It was blocked by the quick judgement of the man as he pulled his sword up using the ft edge to stop the forward momentum before parrying the ko a thrust towards Lumina.
Lumina predig this, sidestepped to the right while turning the ko a reverse grip to do a bad ssh yet the man just pulled back befiving Lumina a kick to her abdomen sending her shuttling backwards before rolling into another poung position. He has much faster reflexes to predict my movement, I o be faster. ing to this clusion in her head, Lumina got into a quick sprint....
This bad forth went into a long exge that severely tired out Lumina as beads of sweat dripped from her forehead and skin as she stood in a prepared position panting. "Times up, you pass." The man says casually putting his sword down revealing no difference from earlier. "Those who pass, e here tomorrow for the final examination. Now that we know your individual capabilities, we know o know how you work in a team, thus, those who passed will be put into a team for a real hunt."
After hearing this, Lumina picked herself up and travelled back to the inn she currently rents a room for and ordered a quick meal for dinner before heading back to bed leading into a quick sleep and hopefully peaceful dream.
