Chapter 46: Approaching the Truth
We returned to the entrance of our home, and I signaled for Sheng to go back first. / After Sheng left, I and Qiao'er entered the house.
"Chen, I'm back!" I shouted loudly at the dark house.
The house seems to be empty.
"Are you living with Feng Shang?" He Qiaor looked at me in confusion.
I nodded and then ran to turn on the light.
"Whoa!" The lights in the whole house lit up at once.
"Ah~~~" He Qiaoer was frightened by the scene in front of her and let out a loud cry.
I shrugged indifferently, after all, just last night a group of people in black suits stood in my living room, each with an expressionless face, no wonder it was scary.
"It's cold, your home... how..." He Qiao'er stuttered nervously.
I beckoned one of them over: "What are you doing here again?"
"We have returned to serve the Fourth Master, and we are here under the orders of the Second Master. From now on, we will wait for instructions and protect the safety of the Fourth Master."
"Protecting my safety? I think it's monitoring me!"
"Alright, let's get on with it, don't just stand around in the hall without turning on the lights." I interrupted impatiently.
"Yes, we'll be careful from now on." As soon as he finished speaking, they all vanished from our sight in the blink of an eye.
I pulled Xiao'er upstairs, and coincidentally, Cheng walked out of the room. Actually, there was nothing much to it, he just happened to have just finished taking a bath, wasn't wearing any clothes, with only a towel wrapped around his lower body.
"Ah~~~~" Qiao'er screamed again.
I immediately covered Qiao's eyes and pushed him into Xue's room: "There are clothes inside, you can sleep after washing up! I'll come to wake you up early tomorrow morning."
After I finished speaking, I walked out of the room and turned around to see my younger brother still leisurely walking downstairs to the wine cabinet to drink. I immediately rushed into his room and handed him a coat: "Cheng, be more careful in the future, it's not like no one is home."
"Originally there was no one, how did you know he would call someone to our house, or rather her." Cheng said disdainfully.
"What are you talking about? Are those people who just came not human?" I said angrily.
"We're all men." He said coldly.
"And me?"
"Aren't you my sister? Am I supposed to be afraid of what you'll do to me?"
"Never mind, I'll go back to my room."
"I was speechless. I thought back to when my brother, for the first time, didn't object to someone else staying here besides me and his best friend, and it was a woman."
"Whatever, I'm going back to my room to sleep." I shouted at the air.
In the middle of the night, I don't know what I ate before bed, but I was so thirsty that I had to get out of bed and go downstairs to drink water.
Just as I walked out of the room, I saw one of the brothers from "Night" sticking to Xue Er's door. He looked at me in surprise, and I signaled him to be quiet before turning around and heading towards Cheng's room.
I didn't knock on the door and walked in directly. As expected, he hadn't slept yet, and there were two more people in the room: Nangong Ye and Huyan Zhen.
"Who?" They all turned around and stared at me with a look of surprise on their faces.
"This sentence is what I asked for, right? This seems like my home." I said discontentedly.
Chen walked over: "Han, didn't you go to sleep?"
"How long are you going to keep this from me?" I asked, staring at them.
"What was that? You're speaking nonsense." she asked in confusion.
"Shenghe Qiaoer's dad actually knew each other a long time ago, they appeared together this time for the sake of 'Ye' gang, right?" I said lightly.
"You, how did you know?" Xun looked at me with a surprised face.
"You think I'm as stupid as you, don't you? After being with them for so long, wouldn't anyone discover some clues? Especially since you've been acting so strangely recently, who wouldn't be suspicious?" I said helplessly.
"Just as he was about to say something, a loud noise suddenly came from outside the door."
We rushed out of the room and saw that the person who was eavesdropping at the door had fallen to the ground, already dead. The door to Xue Er's room was also open, and there was no one inside. I walked closer and found that the floor-to-ceiling glass window in the room was shattered all over the floor. At this moment, we heard a humming noise coming from above: "Hmmm...hmmm...hmmm..." We looked up to see that it was an airplane, and the person inside was none other than the uncle I saw at the bar today with Sheng and Qiao Er.
"Sorry about this, but it's time for us to officially declare war!" He said, and then he and Qiao'er flew away in the airplane.
I looked at them thoughtfully, now they are the only ones who can help me resolve the doubts in my heart.
