DNA of love

  No. 38 DNA of Love

Vanessa looked at her son's sleeping face on the hospital bed, and her mind wandered slightly.

After this kid fell asleep, he lost the rebelliousness between his eyebrows that he inherited from his dad, and seemed to look more like himself. When he was younger, he looked even more like himself. It felt like in the blink of an eye, he had grown up, so quickly that it was hard for her as a mother to adapt. Every time she saw this face, there seemed to be big changes, making her feel that her own son was stranger than those work staff who surrounded her every day.

She is really not a responsible mother. When was the last time she saw this kid, a month ago or two months ago? Ah, his birthday is on the 4th of this month, and she even forgot about it because she was too busy.

She invested too little energy in him. A bit busy, but more of it was to escape from him. Alas, there are few mothers like her under the sky, because she felt guilty and afraid of her son, afraid of his ridicule and disdain, so she didn't dare to get close, didn't dare to express a mother's concern.

As for Han Qi being hospitalized, she was somewhat grateful, otherwise, how could he stay by her side and sleep so obediently?

It turns out that the girl who has been guarding him, holding his hand after he wakes up, is his current girlfriend? This kid's taste is quite diverse...

Vanessa's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the hospital room door opening.

A robust and muscular man, with a bag slung over his shoulder and wearing sunglasses, walked in. His tight-fitting T-shirt clung to his perfectly toned physique, honed from long-term exercise. Although his eyes were hidden behind the shades, one could sense his unruliness from the slight curve of the corner of his mouth.

Fan Mei Qi raised her eyelids to take a glance at the person who came, and continued to snuggle motionlessly on the sofa, holding up the mobile phone that had been in her hand all along, ready to continue reading the e-book - the script of her next play.

"How did this little brat get tied up like this." The man walked over to the bed, his backpack sliding off his shoulder and landing on the ground.

"Can you stay for a while this time?" Fang Meiqi asked without even raising her eyes.

"I'm a bit happier than you, I can probably rest for three days, but it's not certain, depends on whether there are any urgent calls." The man took off his sunglasses and put them on the bedside table. On his resolute face, the delicate features revealed a manly magnanimity, and the air of disdain between his eyebrows made him have the same aura as the boy in bed.

"Oh, that's just right." Fang Meiqi responded faintly, continuing to look at her script without lifting her head, "The doctor said that for the next few days, someone needs to take care of our son, so you can be a good father for a few days."

Han Cheng turned around and looked at Fan Mei Qi, raising an eyebrow: "A star mom can be so ruthless?"

Fan Mei Qi looked up at him and still showed no emotion: "I'm not by his side, maybe he's recovering a bit faster."

Han Cheng smiled lightly and sat down on the chair beside the bed.

Ever since that little rabbit saw something he shouldn't have when he was thirteen, he had an especially strong aversion to Mei Qi, the three-talented star who was famous all over the country. He wouldn't even let her touch him. And then he himself, step by step, became a little beast. However, this extremely abnormal family didn't become harmonious because of the fall of their little angel, but instead, they became more and more estranged from each other.

  Each in their own loneliness.

The son has always been angry with this father. Angry at his indifference and apathy. He may have once hoped that this father would be able to save the world from its madness, save their deformed family, but instead the father abandoned him, choosing to go crazy with the rest of the world.

Han Cheng looked at the sleeping face that resembled his own. His son had inherited his rugged features, but in those delicate facial features, some of Meiqi's coldness was also mixed in. Hmm, born with a good skin, combining the advantages of him and Meiqi. Good kid, even when he was just a fertilized egg, he already had such a strong personality.

Han Cheng couldn't help but laugh at the thought. Mei Qi gave him a white eye and said quietly, "Your drool is about to flow out. Do you think he's just born? Can you hold him in your arms and silly smile for three days and three nights?"

"Heh heh," Han Cheng pinched Ying Teng's nose, "even if you're wrapped up like a meat bun, our son is still incredibly handsome, and in the future, he'll definitely break my record."

"Break the record?" Meiqi sneered, Han Cheng's proud record was his philandering history. "You don't know that this time it's because of a woman?"

"Hey, this kid has regressed in fighting!" Han Cheng frowned slightly as he looked at the sofa chair where his record-breaker used to sit, as if the reason for his son's technical regression was due to his mother's bad genes.

Meiqi shrugged, indicating that she didn't know. Her son had been getting into trouble with women for some time now, but previously it was always a close call, either he won or drew, and even if he lost, at least he could run away, occasionally with minor injuries, but never as serious as this time, almost losing his life. She actually wanted her son to stop messing around like this, but she couldn't bring herself to say it.

She doesn't have the qualifications for it.

"When are you leaving? Tonight or tomorrow morning?" Han Cheng stroked his son's hand with the infusion needle and slowed down the IV drip.

"Tomorrow, I've booked an early flight." Meiqi looked at her son on the hospital bed, took a deep breath and said slowly, "When you're better, be sure to thank that girl who saved our son's life."
