Jezebel woke up in her own bed just like at home. getting up and getting dressed feeling her empty hole in her mouth its not going to be so bad. At least I know why trade with the southern kingdoms stopped. There is nobody to trade with. I have to treat everyone as my friend even Falkner if I’m going to help the new pantheon succeed Nyssa lost her eye because of me and I like her to bad she didn’t ask for Falkner’s Aaron and Hector where the only ones awake.

  “What's for breakfast?” Jezebel asked “cold supplies” Hector said

  “What else did you have in mind?” Hector asked Aaron tuned to the nearest window

  “with a city this large to ourselves we could bake some fresh bread or something” Nyssa came out of her room already wearing her eye patch

  “sounds good besides we need to conserve our supplies anyway it’s worth a shot” Nyssa said they left everyone to sleep some more Aaron levitated down the stairs showoff leaving the center of the city taking the left street with Nyssa, Aaron and Hector soon she saw a butchers shop running to it throwing open the door seeing nothing but bones and dusty shelves leaving with disappointment they went to the bakery sixty feet away running up to catch up I’m so tired breathing heavily upon reaching it

  “There must be flour here somewhere” Aaron called. They were searching for four, water to make yeast ya I think so that sounds about right picking up a life of bread that wasn't moldy it felt like a stone nobody is going to be eating this tossing it into the street where are the rats? Or birds it's like we are the only thing living in the whole kingdom I’m sure we will meet something its a big kingdom and this is only one city

  “this is a bust” Aaron said

  “it was worth a try we will eat quickly at the inn” Nyssa said they headed back in defeat back at the inn William was waiting for them

  “about time where were you? We have to leave now” with that they headed to the stables to get their breakfast since everyone had already eaten after shoving down her jerky

  “we will get buy with hunting and foraging” William said they left the city walls walking past dead trees and grass

Jezebel thought to herself walking on the paved road the only sound was their footsteps, no one wanted to talk. I'm too uneasy about this place and so is everyone else. walking past farms barren with no weeds and no one to plant them some doors were closed but nothing moved inside.

  They stopped for the night after walking all day. Dinner was cold jerky and everyone else had flatbread and cheese since no one found any water today. Omari hopped over to her staring with his silvery eyes of his

  “Yes she never wanted to be around me so as a kid I pretended that my servant, who never gave me her name so I called her mother but she made me stop when I was thirteen and I never saw her again when she left the city” why is everyone looking at me like that?

  “I’m sorry” Nyssa said, giving her a hug. Hugging her back I grew up so alone but now I have friends tearing up. She soon went to bed. In the morning Omari was flying over head I guess I’m the last one up eating a little jerky they walked on the paved road again pulling the pack moa

  “there’s a town up ahead” Safiya announced

  “Maybe there will be people this time” Aaron said
