Chapter 18: Narrow Road of Enemies

Chapter 18: The Narrow Road of Enemies

Looking at his smile, I felt a bit dazed and unconsciously took a step back. My subconscious thought that this man was somewhat dangerous...

I turned my head to look around and found that we were the only two people there.

"Who are you? Have we met before?" I asked, looking straight into his eyes, trying to see something, but it was still a deep pool. He had an evil smile on his face, and he took a step closer to me: "Have you forgotten so quickly? It really hurts my heart! I remember very clearly... Do you need me to remind you? Ah? Angel——"

I frowned at him, taking a step back until I was leaning against the tree trunk behind me. I really couldn't remember...

He looked at me with an evil smile and said: "You don't remember me?"

  I shook my head.

He chuckled and said: "No wonder you're so calm."

Suddenly, he reached out and touched my face. I felt a chill run down my spine.

"Who are you?" I asked again, trying to keep my voice steady.

"I'm someone who knows you," he replied, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

I tried to push him away, but he didn't budge.

"What do you want?" I demanded.

He leaned in close and whispered: "I want to play a game with you."

I felt a shiver run down my spine. What kind of game?

Suddenly, he let go of me and took a step back.

"I'll see you at school," he said with a smile, before turning and walking away.

I watched him leave, feeling confused and uneasy.

What just happened? Who was that person?

As I walked back to my car, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.

When I got home, I told Cloud about what had happened. He listened attentively and then said: "Be careful around him. He seems like trouble."

  I nodded in agreement.

But as I lay in bed that night, I couldn't help but think about the mysterious man. Who was he? What did he want from me?

And why did I feel a strange connection to him?
