Left ear (30)
Section 30: Left ear (30) I smiled at them.
Yu Ta also smiled and asked: "Zhang Yang, how did you end up here?"
"It's time for school to start, I need to scrape together tuition."
She kept her small face tight, as if she hadn't seen me at all.
"Want to buy a cell phone?" I asked.
"Yes," Yu said, "I want to buy a more affordable one that's suitable for students. Otherwise, can you recommend some?"
She said to Yu beside her: "You watch first, I'll go home first."
"You wait, let me take a look, it'll be quick, I'll send you back right away."
"Who wants you to send me! I'm not unfamiliar with the road!" She said, carrying her broken bag, proudly and vigorously turned around and walked away with big strides.
I smiled and said to Yu Ta: "Your girlfriend is quite fierce."
"No," Yu hastily explained, "she's my sister."
"Huh?" I said, "Look at this Nokia, it's a good value for money."
"Oh, forget it. I'll see you tomorrow!" Yu Ta pushed me away and hastily followed the girl.
Oh ho ho, little sister.
The manager settled today's expenses with me and told me I could get off work. She asked me: "Are you coming tomorrow?"
"Come on," I said, "stand the last watch!" After finishing speaking, I pinched eighty yuan to give her a courtesy and went out of the mall.
Compared to the air-conditioned mall, it's still sweltering outside. After standing at the counter all day, my calf muscles are not only sore but also trembling, and my throat is so dry that I'm gasping for air. So I ran to a small cold drink shop outside the mall, ordered a large cup of iced Coke, and sat down on the steps next to the bus stop to take a sip.
As I turned around, I suddenly saw her standing next to me. It scared the hell out of me. She was still carrying that bag and wearing her pure white little skirt, eating a colorful ice cream cone, but Yu was nowhere to be seen.
I was in a good mood, so I whistled and asked her: "Where's your brother?"
Her face turned slightly red, looking very cute. However, she didn't behave as timidly as I had imagined, but instead replied to me with a light and playful tone: "I dumped him."
"Hey, you'd better remember not to casually dump a man who's good to you, or you'll regret it." I said, crushing the harmonica cup in my hand and tossing it to the ground.
She looked at me and picked up the cup for me, throwing it into the trash can beside her.
I lit a cigarette, narrowed my eyes and smiled at her, she turned away. The bus arrived just in time, she jumped on the bus, it was route 5, I wasn't supposed to take this bus, but for some reason, I involuntarily followed her onto the bus.
There were many people on the bus, no seats available. She was not tall and her hands looked strained holding onto the handrail. I stood beside her and said: "If there's nothing precious in your bag, let me hold it for you?"
She didn't answer me, and clutched her bag tightly.
"Give it to me!" I said commandingly while stretching out my hand.
She persisted in not responding, but her facial expression began to tense up.
I thought it was interesting, so I teased her and said: "If you don't give me any, then I'll just hold your hand instead."
My hand hadn't even fully touched hers when the bag fell into my hands, bringing her body temperature with it. It was really heavy. I bent down to ask her: "Buying so many notebooks, writing a diary?"
She ignores me.
"I said: 'I'm asking you'?"
She raised her small face and asked me, "Do I have to answer if you ask me?" Our faces were very close, and the bus swayed back and forth, making them even closer. The sunset shone on her snowy skin. Her skin was really good, different from Jiang Jiao's and many other girls', transparent and spotless. And those eyes, clear to the point of being unbelievable. Seeing me staring at her, her face turned red again, slightly red, a slightly red face revealing her inner panic, but she kept holding on, stubbornly refusing to look away.
Isn't it interesting?
She got off at the next stop and I followed her off the bus.
"Thank you," she said, "Give me the bag."
"What if I don't get off with you?" I said.
"Then you wouldn't have followed me from the start," she said with confidence. "You should take bus 11 to go home, shouldn't you?"
"Oh dear," I said, "Federal Detective, may I ask if you live here?"
"Not here," she said, pointing ahead with her hand, "the next stop is where I live."
"Why did you come down here then?"
"I'm not telling you," she said.
I'm dizzy.
I wrapped my arms around me, watching this strange little girl with great interest in the twilight night. She suddenly asked me another question that made me scratch my head: "Are you hungry?"
