It was dark.
Lightning streaked across the sky—the only natural source of light—
accompanied by deafening, rumbling thunder. Everyone remained inside their
homes, too afraid to step out.
Then the earth began to tremble.
The ground cracked and shifted, groaning as it buckled beneath their feet.
Sirens erupted in the distance—loud, repetitive wails cutting through the chaos,
warning of a disaster already in motion.
In one home, a child lay in bed, trying to sleep.
But the noise kept him awake.
Curious, he sat up and looked toward the window. Rain tapped against the
glass—a sight he normally loved. He reached for the curtains... but stopped.
His mother called his name.
Barely audible.
Distant.
Confused, he rose and moved toward the door—
Until suddenly—
The windows shattered.

Glass exploded inward.
Shards flew in every direction.
Some embedded into his skin.
He cried out in pain as his parents burst into the room, yelling—but it was too
loud to hear anything.
And then he saw it.
A building in the distance tilted unnaturally, creaking under its own weight—
Then collapsed like a dying giant.
Another began to tremble.
More followed.
It was as if the city itself was falling apart.
The family ran. Everyone did.
Crowds poured into the streets—screaming, stumbling, fleeing from the wrath
of nature.
The ground split open, devouring people whole.
Buildings crumbled.
Bodies fell.
Hope vanished.
They prayed for a miracle.
And one came—
A light in the sky.
Getting closer.
"It must be the rescue team," they thought.
"We’ll be saved."
But dread returned when they realized—it was only one helicopter.
A single carrier… for tens of thousands of people.
Panic surged.
Soldiers shouted, “Women and children first!”, but no one listened.
People pushed. Screamed.
Trampled one another.
A soldier was thrown from the helicopter, vanishing in the crowd.
Inside, those who got in first were suffocating—crushed by the wave of bodies
trying to squeeze in. The pilots, realizing the danger, began to lift off. A few
desperate people tried to break into the cockpit, but were scared off by the
pilot’s sidearm.
Some clung to the outside—dangling.
Others fell, screaming, as the helicopter gained altitude.
It rose, barely stable, disappearing into the night sky.
The pilots knew the truth—
When they returned, if they could return, there would be almost no one left.
Because that helicopter…
Was the last in the government’s arsenal.
Around the world, disaster was unfolding.
Nature—at least, what they thought was nature—was ripping the world apart.
No one knew the cause.
In a fortified building far away, world leaders stood in silence, watching screens
filled with collapsing cities and rising death tolls.
Ground vehicles were useless.
Bunkers were full.
And every pilot and soldier still active had gone without rest—fighting to
rescue whoever they could.
Still, casualties grew by the hour.
It was October 6th, 2021.
22:42.
That day, hope died.
Even the most powerful leaders had lost faith in their technology—
And in themselves.
This was no longer a battle to win.
It was a war for survival against the unknown.
And humanity… was losing.
