oops doesn’t cover it

December 10, 2106 (military calendar)Iv'Lux(transted) 101, 79(Tukyarid calendar)TanyaUnknown spaceOnboard unidentified ‘vessel’The inside doesn’t seem right. Like a bone-deep feeling that it’s just wrong even though this corridor looks retively normal. Alien yes but within reason.

The crew however. I can definitely peg what’s wrong with looking at them. They sail past alien and I’d say firmly nd in the eldritch territory.

I ignore them as best I can and move through the wreck with my rifle up. So far there are no signs of decompression or anything that would expin why everything is dead.

No blood or fluids so far.

I feel the structure shift and ahead in the corridor it seems to flicker and I see aliens alive possibly pointing at me and rushing in the other direction.

That’s fair I am on their ship. I slightly lower my rifle and head for the live ones. I spot another as the superstructure shifts again and it flickers again causing the live one to scream and then drop.

What the hell? I slowly walk up to it and kneel beside it. I poke and prod it to see if it’s alive, assuming I could tell at all but with my best guess it’s definitely dead.

I stand up and look around. Should I try to find the bridge first or the reactor? This ship appears crippled so it’s not a normal boarding.

In that case maybe try to make contact? I look around for surveilnce equipment either cameras or microphones. I think I found one.

I write on the wall where it will see it “do you need help”. I know it’s in Elysian so the chances of them understanding is zero.

I then tap on the camera hoping to get some operator’s attention. I wait a few minutes and with no obvious reaction I continue on.

Let’s try to find the bridge I’m sure contact can be made there. I check the markings on the walls and pick one to follow. I have no idea if it’s the right one for the bridge but whatever.

As I walk I notice it feels normal. Like walking on Earth, this ship has gravity. Seeing as they aren’t hostile yet I definitely want good terms with them for the gravity tech alone.

I keep my rifle lowered to appear non-threatening. I find more bodies scattered around and still no signs of injury. How are they dying?

OctathruxOn the wrecked ship The bridge is in chaos. We were traveling through dream space when we were hit by something. That something turned out to be the 104th fleet dragging us into real space.

In the area’s worst affected the crew there immediately died to real space exposure. To make matters worse the saint in her ignorance boarded to investigate and potentially help.

She even tried to communicate but destroyed the camera in her attempt. And as she keeps moving she’s fully dragging the areas she’s in into real space dooming whoever is there.

I personally think she is aware something is wrong as she directly saw one of the damage control teams die due to exposure.

I can only hope she realizes before a critical section is dragged over. Unfortunately based on her path she’s heading for medical.

Damn the restrictions I’m not putting the ship at further risk for non-interference rules. Let’s try to copy her “Get ahead of her and write on the walls try to expin what’s going on”

What I wouldn’t give for a crossing suit so contact could be made. “First mate they are asking what nguage” Without hesitation I replied “Elysian and dream speech”

TanyaI walk down the corridor following the icon that I picked and slow down. At the turn ahead there is writing.

Writing in Elysian. It looks like an old archaic version but it’s definitely it. That shouldn’t be here. What in this universe would even know that?

I take a second to actually read what’s written “you are heading for the infirmary and are destroying ship as you walk leave now”

So I picked the wrong direction if I’m not being misled. I look around however and nothing seems damaged. What does it mean I’m destroying the ship?

I pause to think this through. I doubt this is a sentinel or pilr ship. It wouldn’t be having these problems but it is reted to them since it knows the nguage.

That leaves the old universe I think. I have no idea what lived there or if anything is left in any capacity from it that leaves Rhylia but that’s outside reality…

Shit this ship isn’t from reality and I can’t be removed from reality so I must be pulling it into real space. If I’m right my very presence is killing the crew.

The problem is this ship has been messing with my electronics and I don’t have a map to follow back out.

I’d rather not kill the whole crew but honestly, I’d also love to return with something.

Reality suddenly seems to hiccup and rubber band then screams. I’m forced to my knees and can’t help but hold my head and clench my teeth.

Blood runs out from my eyes but I power through and stagger to my feet. Reality hiccups again and I feel like I’m ripped out of my body for a full minute before smming back in seemingly with force as I hit my head on the wall as I fall again.

Whispering seems to fill the edge of my hearing and I feel a strange pull leading me to something.

I stagger back to my feet and stumble forward feeling mostly dead. The warmth of my blood on my face only contributes to the feeling.

As I stumble forward I feel like I’m watching myself detached while still inside my body. I completely lose track of distance and time.

Reality again seems to flicker and the once mostly pristine corridor snaps to being covered in fluids and writing in said fluids with a few maimed corpses hanging. I gnce at my hands drenched in the same fluid.

Octathrux“You’ve killed us all” I scream at the engineer who tried to trigger our drive. All it did was try to pull us out of this reality fully but with the equivalent of an anchor on board, it destroyed the drive.

Now they are trying to shut it down, the few survivors so it will stop attempting to rift. The saint is a whole other problem. She is holding us here and dragging the ship more and more into real space.

To make that even worse the failed drive seems to have done something to her. It’s not quite like she’s feral but she did rip apart several crew members.

There seems to be a g now between her anchoring effect and her physical body now. “Acolyte why might this change happen to her” Luckily the one person who might know what’s going on was on the bridge.

“To my knowledge her body, soul, and mind are fully fused so if one persists the rest will, and as nothing can kill all of them” he trails off then resumes “What I believe we are seeing is something that should never have happened. We accidentally ripped her still tethered soul out of her body partially separating them”

“Her soul is still an anchor but her body is now running fully on instinct it would seem… as for the hysteria and madness the crew is experiencing she was blessed by Nyx”

Great it’s worse than her just being pissed off. She’s not even moving like a human anymore with twitching and… “why isn’t she on the screen anymore”

Several agonizing moments turn into a minute before another feed is picked out. “She didn’t disappear from the camera she disappeared from that section entirely it would seem”

Shortly after getting eyes on the saint again I have to watch more crew sughtered. It’s not even her that’s using their blood to write on the walls, it's just flowing by itself.

Just what did the pilrs bless her with? “What sections surround her position” I demand. “Habitation mainly plus the spinal corridor to engineering”

I don’t even wait for a second to issue the only command that could save us “Eject her section and any adjacent immediately”

Dull thumps roll through the ship and reality seems to stabilize. The saint looks confused for a moment before thrusters on her armor propel it back into the ship.

What could she possibly want? I mentally check our cargo and it’s just the usual for a long voyage except for what’s in the vault…

That damned book. That was the entire point of the trip anyway to transport it. Spero and Nyx decided it was best kept outside of reality due to its pull on humans.

Now I have an immortal human with no higher thinking heading straight for it. “Prepare to overload the reactor and trigger all denial munitions” I order.

I would be surprised if this even worked but we still have a duty to carry out. When my crew hesitates I simply stand up and calmly walk over and begin to punch in all the codes.

At least we will deny this ship and if the pilrs smile on us we may get lucky and eject the accused book somewhere maybe even the dreamnds.

TanyaIf I thought I was disoriented before now I just want to y down for a month to stop everything from spinning. First, it was the weird feeling then the complete out-of-body experience that I’m still having.

Then my body somehow teleported right before the crew dropped where it was out of the ship. I thought that was the end of this because I just wanted out by then.

Nope, my body went right back inside and I got pulled along. At least now it seems to have a clear path wherever it’s heading.

I let myself get pulled along and we find a unique door. My body tries to teleport through again but bounces off. I’d love to get a sample of that for ter to insute my ships just in case.

For a moment my body seems as stumped as I am on how to open that. The pad next to the door seems to be indicating a total lockdown so no use trying to bypass it there.

My body seems ready to start literally beating the door down when it opens. It sprints inside while I gnce at the door pad still locked out.

Maybe some piss poor security? A mystery for another time. I’m pulled into the room that holds only a book. Just from a gnce, I realize it’s the reason the door opened because it opened from inside.

I scramble to get back inside my body to keep it from touching it but just as it makes contact the entire ship and especially this vault cease to exist as the ship's reactor and shaped esoteric charges all go off.

The book disappeared and I’m flung off cwing back inside my body.

I immediately regret this decision as my body is being incinerated by the unbridled power of the sun without actually being damaged while simultaneously my mind is being assailed by countless nameless things.

Chittering madness fills my ears as I see visions of formless beings then a winged octopus bat thing?

In what was seconds but felt like eternity I’m clear and the forces assaulting my mind are… suplicating themselves?

I begin to ponder more until I realize I’m tumbling and heading for something. Hopefully, it’s substantial enough to stop me so I can get picked up.

Evidently, Helios as the could be no other meddling in this has a sense of humor. Impressive as it’s not supposed to be alive.

What I’m hurdling towards is actually the dropship that initially dropped me off. I beam it a command to orient and open the drop door.

Seconds ter I impact and dent the interior wall behind the pilot. “Take us back to the hanger” I sit where I hit and use the flight back to think.

First thing I should expect contact from either Spero or Nyx soon. That was definitely one of theirs. The second is the book. I have the distinct feeling it wasn’t destroyed and it might be linked to what I saw in the explosion.

Maybe I’ll just ask Nyx or Casper about it. Later though. This whole ordeal has left me exhausted. With that I just sit tight. A short while ter the docking cmps tch on and I walk out.

Cole and half a dozen medics are standing nearby. I sigh “I’m fine but if you really want to check then at least be fast” They lead me to a small room in the hangar specifically made for emergency aid.

With the hangers usually operating in the vacuum and the time it takes to pressurize we had to be creative. We cycle through the locks and they pnt me on a bed.

I remove my helmet and set it beside myself and frown at all the blood inside. As far as I’m aware Casper’s blessing returns myself and my armor to pristine condition minus the eye.

With my helmet filled with blood and apparently my face too by the looks, something happened. It has to be due to the separation that happened.

One field doctor retrieved an antiseptic cloth to wash my face while a few others pulled off my gauntlets to connect various instruments.

Cole just stands there. “Vitals seem fine maybe a little sluggish but in range. Except for a cut to the head and broken nose you're right as rain”

I stand up and put back on my gauntlets and helmet. Me and the doctors head for the airlock but Cole stops me “A moment please” and nods the others to continue.

I shrug and wait for them to leave. Once it’s just us he asks “what happened there, as soon as you went aboard the feed basically cut out but from what little I saw I’m gd I had it only go to my console”

I think for a few seconds before I pull off my helmet and look him in the eyes. I’m sure mine look tired while his seem to just hold concern.

“It started off mostly normal. Found a few bodies but no obvious reason they should be dead. Then I found a live one but when I got closer it died”

I take a breath “Look you know I can’t die but turns out there is more to it than that… my soul can’t leave this existence. I think they tried to engage their FTL drive and that’s where it all went wrong”

“My soul was ripped from my body and that left my body to run on autopilot killing anything in its way… I was just pulled around watching myself”

“The ship also seemed to have carried something that lurid me in not having any mental defenses. Right as my body grabbed it I pulled myself back in as the ship was destroyed”

Cole frowned. A few full minutes passed as he digested everything. “You're still… you right” I guess that’s the only real question to ask and the only one that matters.

“Yeah don’t worry I’m just tired right now. Just to be safe jump us out immediately and don’t listen to anything I say unless it’s in person with no helmet”

He nods “Prudent. I’ll put in another random jump so we can all rest and rebuild… I’d like to be kept up to speed on any weird things if nothing else then to keep you grounded”

With that, we exit the medical room and go our ways. I beeline for my room desperate for some sleep. No one bothers me on the way and soon enough I enter my room.

As I’m pulling off my helmet I hear Casper say “We need to talk” and I throw my helmet at him. A shift in the ship’s thrust moves him out of the way and it just bounces off the wall.

I sigh “How bad is it” I move to my bed and y down. “The pilrs met… it’s good you're ying down for this… we accidentally made a new god with you”

I sit up and lock his eyes as he continues “No one was really paying attention to how much blessings were given to you. Evidently, that book was what broke the dam and uh…”

“You don’t even know what it was do you” I shake my head “Then why did you grab it” I reply simply “I didn’t” With his confused look I expin what happened and he groans.

“I guess it is what it is. The consensus is that silver will keep an extra close eye on you until the divinity fully settles in. Worst comes to worst you're killed because you are no longer you but given the circumstances you’ve earned a chance”

“I’ll be honest we did initially think of just getting rid of you like all the other gods of old and be done with it but as Ori reminded us this isn’t the old universe and you didn’t seek this on purpose”

“All that combined with nothing can really rival the pilrs except the sentinels and only because we told them exactly how to kill us should it be necessary. letting a nascent god run around shouldn’t be too bad”

I frown at the expnation. It’s easy to forget the roles they all py. “So about that book and being a god” I ask. Might as well ask with him here.

“It is partly knowledge made physical and the chains to some prisoners. Let’s see if we can get Nyx here it was his creation after all”

A few moments pass then like a mirage Nyx vaperates. “There’s our little trouble maker” he chuckles and I’m honestly gd he’s still the same as before good natured as always.

“Now then that book should be a part of your soul now and with practice you should be able to call it forth. If everything worked as intended it still limits the knowledge within so that you must use it as a medium”

“I was very thorough in it’s creation, as for the knowledge… it details the creation control and summoning of most of the creatures we couldn’t be bothered with”

“Most are retively harmless like a por bear but others can ruin worlds. I insist that you properly understand the content before you even think of implementing anything”

“I believe Casper also mentioned its shackles and it’s true. The shackles are not for the various creatures within but rather my kin. It was deemed unnecessary to sy them so a compromise was made with them”

“They are relegated to their own home for ck of a better word and they are left alone. Now I never imagined this would happen so… I suppose conversation could be possible”

“That should be everything but feel free to ask any of us if you need to we really don’t want to have to do any drastic… oh there was one st thing”

“It’s been so long I nearly forgot but it is wise to know what your domain will be before it coalesces. It’s just a theory and I guess you’ll prove it or disprove it soon but we believe a domain forms off the strongest emotions in the individual just something to keep in mind”

With that, he evaporates. “I have so many questions but I’m too tired” Casper takes that as his cue to leave and I’m left alone.

The only sleep I find is fitful and wracked with horror.
